Alfredo Fettuccine

This recipe is almost the same with carbonara. They only differ with some of its ingredients. This one has parmessan cheese melted on the fettuccine. I ate this one alone and the taste was good so far. Parmessan is a bit expensive compared to processed cheese. I read from a forum not to use grated parmessan but i don't have a choice, they don't have any variation for parmessan. I think there's only 2 brands available and of course i chose the cheaper one. This will be part of my kitchenoniks session (kitchenoniks is our term for cooking derived from a tv show "del monte kitchenomics") haha. Here's the picture. ^_^

Carbonara

It's my first time to cook pasta. I decided to follow arvie's way of cooking it.It's so easy and simple. And we love the result. For unknown reasons, it made us tipsy. I dunno why. My roommate went straight to bed, felt drank after eating. And i feel like going to bed as well.. Here's the picture.

adobong sitaw

Today, i decided to cook adobong sitaw (string beans). This  vegetable is less likely appreciated by many people. I'm not sure but i think because i only see this one in chopsuey, sinigang and other veggie dishes. It's just like a garnish to the recipe and its less likely to be eaten because of its bland flavor. But luckily it turned out good. Here's the product.

white adobo

This recipe was for last week. I forgot to blog about it so here it is. This one is called white adobo for there's no soy sauce ingredient included. I used pork belly as my meat but you may also try chicken as an alternative. First step is to marinate the pork with vinegar, pepper and bay leaf for 30 minutes to an hour and you just put the rest of the ingredients in a pan. Here's the finish product. It may not seem yummy on the picture but the taste was good.

Adobong Pusit

Who wouldn't love adobo. It's a traditional Filipino food that most moms know about. This became popular because you would be delighted once you get to taste it. The most common adobo are pork and chicken. Mine is pusit(squid). I don't know why maybe because it's what i found upon searching for a recipe online.hehe. The procedure was quite easy and i thought that maybe it wouldn't cost me that much. I was surprised when instructions says that squid needs to be marinated for an hour.waaa!

So here it is the finish product. It may not look as yummy as i describe, but I'm telling you you would surely love it!

Ground pork with Quail eggs

My newest recipe. It took so long to finish but it's all worth it. Peeling the quail eggs took much of my time but i love the finish product. At first, it made me feel like i didn't do it the right way, I've put in the beef later than it should, but good thing it turned out great.I just ate half of it and set aside the other half for my next day's meal. Lucky that my roommate liked the taste.

Mission accomplished!

This became pinoy youngsters favorite because they play all kinds of music plus there's lyrics in each every videos.

Buttered Shrimp

Today i learned to cook buttered shrimp(dampa style) on my own. I searched for this recipe online. Among the various styles of cooking buttered shrimp, I found this one recipe interesting and simple. I'm supposed to be doing this on weekend but it's like an addiction that I couldn't get it off my mind. It's like someone's telling me internally to do it as soon as I can. So I went to hypermarket to buy ingredients needed. It's also a risk as its my first time, I was afraid that it may not turn out good. Luckily, my roommate did like it. For me it's an achievement. That's all for now and I'm looking forward to learn more recipes in the future.Comments are highly appreciated ^_^
