Alfredo Fettuccine

This recipe is almost the same with carbonara. They only differ with some of its ingredients. This one has parmessan cheese melted on the fettuccine. I ate this one alone and the taste was good so far. Parmessan is a bit expensive compared to processed cheese. I read from a forum not to use grated parmessan but i don't have a choice, they don't have any variation for parmessan. I think there's only 2 brands available and of course i chose the cheaper one. This will be part of my kitchenoniks session (kitchenoniks is our term for cooking derived from a tv show "del monte kitchenomics") haha. Here's the picture. ^_^

Carbonara

It's my first time to cook pasta. I decided to follow arvie's way of cooking it.It's so easy and simple. And we love the result. For unknown reasons, it made us tipsy. I dunno why. My roommate went straight to bed, felt drank after eating. And i feel like going to bed as well.. Here's the picture.

adobong sitaw

Today, i decided to cook adobong sitaw (string beans). This  vegetable is less likely appreciated by many people. I'm not sure but i think because i only see this one in chopsuey, sinigang and other veggie dishes. It's just like a garnish to the recipe and its less likely to be eaten because of its bland flavor. But luckily it turned out good. Here's the product.

white adobo

This recipe was for last week. I forgot to blog about it so here it is. This one is called white adobo for there's no soy sauce ingredient included. I used pork belly as my meat but you may also try chicken as an alternative. First step is to marinate the pork with vinegar, pepper and bay leaf for 30 minutes to an hour and you just put the rest of the ingredients in a pan. Here's the finish product. It may not seem yummy on the picture but the taste was good.
